Welcome!
Thanks for visiting my fine art stockroom.
Kane Alexander images are archival, limited edition prints. Using the highest quality processes and materials to ensure your artwork will be in the family for generations to come.
Fine art prints can be delivered, however we also welcome studio visits and can assist with framing or share our preferred framers.
Guarantee:
Not just for today! Unlike much of the temporary nature of modern life, art should be for life and something to pass on. Kane Alexander images come with a 50-year replacement guarantee if mounted archivally and framed with UV glass or perspex. The quality of materials used are exceptional and expected to last well over 100 years before sun and age may begin to show.
Prints
The fine art papers used are from industry-renowned paper manufacturers. The paper is chosen based on what will give the best result for the particular artwork. Papers used are manufactured in Germany, the United States or Japan. Some of these companies have been creating papers for twelve generations.
The papers are not only acid-free but archival, and contain no optical brighteners or petrochemical coatings. They are capable of producing the finest detail, true-to-life colours and a wide dynamic range. Using the latest printing technology, specific to fine art, and the best archival pigment inks, ensures images will last a long time without visible fading.
Mounting and framing
Framed fine artwork at large scale is best presented when mounted to a rigid substrate. We use a cold-mount roller press, which is the industry standard for fine art mounting. Cold pressure mounting using a water-based acrylic adhesive process is the safest method for digitally printed work, ensuring maximum longevity.
Based in Melbourne, we can organise quality archival framing for your Kane Alexander selection. Framed work can also be shipped/freighted or framing suggestions provided should you wish to frame the work yourself. Several different timbers are available for framing. Our preferred offering is locally sourced, premium-grade, sustainable Victorian Ash with either a natural, stained, or painted finish depending on the work and client preference. Other timbers on offer are Blackwood, Jarrah, American Hard Maple, American Black Walnut and American Oak. Various joinery, profiles and sizes can be created to suit bespoke projects.
Framed works include reflective control glass, further removing any distracting reflections. Acrylic or standard UV glass can also be provided if preferred.
Shipping
Prints may take up to three weeks before posting and framed works up to 6 weeks, however in most cases this time will be less. Get in touch via email first if you need works quickly or have an urgent project, as there are some works in stock and lead times for printing and framing can often be accommodated on request.
